"THANK YOU" TO THE VOLUNTEERS WHO HELPED MOVE THE ROTARY OFFICE
President Craig would like to give a BIG "Thank You" to each individual for their hard work moving the Rotary office this past weekend. Monday morning brought many sore backs and arms, but the move went quickly and smoothly! President Craig was impressed with the way everyone just pitched in and got the job done.  He stated "I am proud to be associated with you all".

The following individuals helped move items on Saturday morning: President Craig, Dave Schrade, Lauri and Barb.

On Sunday, the following individuals tirelessly worked on moving the larger items to the new office site: President Craig, Justin Candea, Mark Clendenin, Steve Fettman, PP Curt Werren, Mark Rojek and his wife, Annetta, Bruce Hale, Lauri and Barb.

Also to be thanked is PP Paul White for his tireless efforts in removing items from the wall, supplying boxes for packing and removal of many, many trash bags.  President Elect Amanda Tietze is to be recognized for driving several large boxes to Bolivar to be shredded and Shawn Dougherty is to be thanked for his endless supply of file boxes for our documents.

We would also like to recognize and thank Habitat for Humanity for the use of their lift truck.  The truck made transporting the large and heavy items managable to the new office site!

Without everyone working together in one way or another the move would not have been possible!

CHARITABLE FUND DRIVE
By now, you should have received the annual Rotary Club of Canton Charitable Fund Drive letter. I shared with you my story of what Rotary means to me and areas that I am most passionate about. Our goal this year for the Charitable Fund is $20,000. The Canton Rotary Charitable Fund supports our own Rotary Club's philanthropic efforts. The Rotary Club does not keep these funds. The funds are used to assist many local organizations and individuals in our community as well as help fund our local Canton Rotary projects. The more we raise, the more Rotary can be effective in our community.

My goal for 2017-2018 Rotary year is to make it impossible for people to not recognize all the wonderful things Rotary does. In turn, they will want to be part of what we are doing and join Rotary. Canton Rotary has been adding several new projects in addition to helping the ones we've always supported. I am asking each and every Rotarian to give to the Charitable Fund this year, whatever amount you are capable of donating. For some, that may be $20 or others thousands. I know I can count on you to prove to our community and the world that Canton Rotary is "The finest Rotary Club in the the world".
