The Leader as Poet & Prophet
Building the new is a fundamentally different task than fixing the old.
—David Cooperrider, creator of Appreciative Inquiry

As leaders across industry are pressed to move beyond fixing the old to building the new, two competencies present themselves; that of, poet and prophet.  Where the poet helps to articulate the pain and questioning born of the present dislocation and alienation, the prophet helps both individuals and the collective cross over to the new, with intentionality and commitment.  The leader as poet and prophet engages the community in envisioning sustainable solutions that support innovation and encourage entrepreneurship across industry for the flourishing of our community.  Come nurture the poet and prophet within!
