MARC SCHNEIDER AND JACKIE DEGARMO TO SPEAK THIS FRIDAY ON "THE TIME IS RIGHT FOR BROADBAND; STARK COUNTY'S 'FORTH' UTILITY"

 Marc Schneider is currently the Director of Innovation and Intellectual Property for the Aultman Health Foundation. 

 

 Marc is a life-long resident of Canton, having graduated from GlenOak High School. He also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University.

 

Since graduating, Marc has started several companies in additional to working for his family’s building materials company.

 

During his thirty-plus years of work experience, Marc has used IT extensively to automate and extend the capabilities of organizations, empowering customers, associates and vendors with greater access, transparency and ownership. In addition to the construction industry, he has held leadership positions in the financial, health care and insurance industries, having been a board member of two high performance banks, the chairman of a large healthcare delivery system and vice chairman of an insurance company.

His most recent company, Factory Brands LTD, is one of the largest Internet dealers of Schlage locks and hardware in the United States.

 

Marc was in the first class of Leadership Canton, now Leadership Stark County, and served as 1989 Alumni Chairman. He has served as a director of the Builder’s Exchange for Northeastern Ohio, as Chairman of the Kent State Stark Advisory Board, and as a trustee of the Stark County Development Board. In addition to his position at Aultman, he serves as Co-Chair of the Stark County Broadband Task Team.

 

He resides with his wife Leslie (also a 1990 Leadership Canton Grad) and his three children in Plain Township.

 

 

 

 

 

Joining Marc on Friday will be Jaqueline DeGarmo. Jackie is the President and Founder of Hilliard Jeane LLC, which offers planning, organizational design and creative direction to businesses and design firms working with educational organizations. She is the former Superintendent of Plain Local Schools and a Past President of the Rotary Club of Plain Township. Jackie also serves on the Boards for United Way of Greater Stark County, Kent State University at Stark, Walsh University, Aultman Acute Care Specialty Hospital and is a trustee of the Herbert W. Hoover Foundation. She is also currently the volunteer director for the Stark County Broadband Task Team. She and her husband reside in Canton.
