At our weekly meeting on May 13, 2016, President Paul White welcomed our members and guests to the meeting.

Rotarian Corey Voorman gave the Invocation.

Club Secretary Michelle Mullaly welcomed the following guests to the meeting: Mark Clark (guest of speaker Joshua Bowen); Ron Atkins, Trudy Atkins, Karl Schultz, Joan Schultz and Nancy Miller (guests of Becky Clark); District Governor Elect Sieglinde Warren; Past District Governor Larry Warren; Richard Regula (Massillon Rotary President and guest of President Paul White).

The "Happy Bucks" news was then provided by the following Rotarians:
  • District Governor Elect Sieglinde Warren - said it was very nice to be in Canton.  She also was very happy to see Amy Mustafaga because Amy does so much for the Youth Exchange Program.  DGE Sieglinde and her husband, PDG Larry Warren, brought chips and chip clips with a "Save the Date" reminder for the 2017 District Conference.
  •
  • Lynn Hamilton - was very happy to announce his son, Phil, had graduated Magna Cum Laude from THE Ohio State University Medical School.
  •
  • Amy Mustafaga -  was also very happy to announce that her youngest son graduated from Butler University with a Bachelors Degree.
President Paul then introduced Massillon Rotary President Richard Regula, who presented a scholarship check in the amount of $500 to the Rotary Club of Canton. This check paid off Massillon's 'bet' with Canton, since the Bulldogs beat the Tigers in last season's McKinley - Massillon game!
,
Youth Exchange Chairwoman Amy Mustafaga took to the podium and gave a plea to the members asking someone to please step up and become the host family for our incoming Youth Exchange student.

Rotary Scout Chairman Scott Sandrock was very pleased to welcome the Rotary Scouts and staff of the Belden Leadership School to the meeting.  On behalf of the Scouts, Scott then presented President Paul with a photo of the Scouts in their Rotary hoodies, which were purchased by the Rotary Club of Canton.

The following Rotarians turned in a makeup during Friday's meeting:  Jon Adland (Plain); Phil Lattavo (4-Catalina/Tuscon, 2-Savannah East, 2-Massillon); Mark Clendenin (2-Jackson, 1-Salem); and Lynn Hamilton (Endowment meeting).
