Dawn Southard, VP of Investor Relations, will share data regarding jobs, projects and capital investment opportunities that will benefit our region’s businesses as well as the 4.3 million people who call Northeast Ohio home!
Dawn Southard is Vice President, Investor Relations for Team NEO. In her role, Dawn engages business leaders throughout Northeast Ohio to take an active role in Team NEO’s mission to advance the equity and pace of business development outcomes throughout our 18 - county region. As a member of the senior management team, Dawn contributes to creating and implementing strategies that engage the corporate and non-profit community in the five core initiatives Team NEO leads as the JobsOhio partner for Northeast Ohio.
Prior to joining Team NEO, Dawn spent four years in San Antonio and served as Chief Strategy Officer with a financial and succession planning firm. Before that she spent 15 years in leadership roles for The Adcom Group and Glazen Creative Studios (now Goldfarb Weber Creative Media) in Cleveland. Her civic involvement in the region has been pivotal to a variety of initiatives as she served in positions including President of Sales and Marketing Executives (SME) Cleveland and SME Cleveland Education Foundation, Vice Chair of the Broadview Heights City Planning Commission and board member of Julie Billiart School. She a Leadership Cleveland Class of 2021 alumni.
She currently serves on the board of Seeds of Literacy, and is a mentor through College Now.
Dawn earned an MBA at Western Michigan University and a BBA at Davenport University.

What a great event we had last week for the McKinley-Massillon Luncheon. It was so exciting to see more than 100 attendees from both the Canton and Massillon Rotary and their guests enjoying a terrific event. A tip of the hat to VP Paul Hervey and his committees for putting on such a great event. From the band playing in the courtyard, the decorations in the room, the food that was served, and the lineup of speakers, everything went off without a hitch. As President i can't thank you all enough.
We have accomplished a number of things so far this year, but we haven't really scratched the surface and I'll be reaching out to many of you that are not yet involved in projects. I'm looking for volunteers to chair and participate in community events we have planned for this year such as Scholarship Committee, Drug Take-Back Day, Older Adult Outreach, and Wednesday Youth Backpack Days. If social media marketing and website development are your thing I could really use your help in this area ASAP.

For our annual McKinley/Massillon Rivalry Week co-meeting with the Rotary Club of Massillon, President Mark welcomed over 100 Rotarians, guests and special speakers to Christ Presbyterian Church this year. Our special guests and speakers included Canton Mayor Tom Bernabei, Massillon Mayor Kathy Catazaro-Perry, McKinley Head Coach Antonio Hall, Massillon Washington Head Coach Nate Moore, several of their team members, special speakers McKinley alum Terrell Clifford and Massillon alum Devin Jordan. And, of course, our Rotary brothers and sisters from the Massillon Club.

As Junior Achievement chair for the Rotary Club of Canton, I have been staying in touch with JA about opportunities for us to 'mentor' young people through JA's programs of entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and job preparation. I have asked JA to provide volunteer opportunities in Canton City Schools primarily, but they have also communicated other volunteer needs in other districts.
