Our Football Luncheon Committee put on a great show October 20 at Malone's Johnson Center for the joint Canton-Massillon Rotary meeting celebrating the annual Massillon-McKinley football game. From the decorations to the food to the banners, everything was top-notch. Thank you to Tim Furbay (chair), Sue Marzano, Becky Clark, Larry Pitts, Mark Rojek, Bob Matthews, Bob Pattison, and many more.
Everyone was on their best behavior at the luncheon, which is more than I can say for those at the game Saturday. Thanks to your efforts, we raised over $500 for the district Purple Pinkie Project to support polio eradication. Congratulations to Rev. Wilbur Allen, who pulled his own number in the raffle drawing!
Executive board meeting
Our executive board meets this Thursday, October 26, at 5:30 pm at Paul's office (4700 Dressler NW - rear). Click the Zoom link on our webpage if you need to attend remotely.
No luncheon this week
We are converting back to weekly lunches, but we are still working with Malone on space availability. We will be meeting again on November 3 and 17 and December 1 and 15, all at Malone University's Brehme Centennial Center.
Please join us on Friday, November 3 when Mark Sterling, CEO of Beaver Excavating, joins us to speak about his company's role in Stark County and beyond.
Remember to show up a little early if you want to beat the line of college students going in to the cafeteria (or you can pay after the meeting). We now meet at the Brehme Center at the "top" of Malone's campus. Park in the north parking lot overlooking King Field and US 62.
Our December 15 meeting will be our sing-along holiday program along with a dessert raffle to support our charitable fund. Guests can buy raffle tickets to put in the basket next to their favorite desserts to take home with them.
