ATTENTION ALL ROTARIANS:  
 
Friday's meeting will be held in the BALLROOM at Meyer's Lake!!  A professional photographer will be attending this meeting to take a photo for our club history. We would ask that ALL members and any Past Presidents please plan on attending this meeting, as we would like to have a photo taken for the 100 year celebration of the Club.  This also will be a great opportunity for you to update your headshot for the Roster Book and Clubrunner, if you so choose. Pictures will be taken in the Calypso Room immediately following the meeting.
 
Here are the time slots for pictures:
 
     -  11:30 a.m. Past Presidents
     -  11:45 a.m. 2015-16 Board
     -  1:00 p.m. (immediately following Rotary meeting) Club Picture and Headshots
 
We would ask that you dress in business attire and please RSVP your attendance for this meeting to the Rotary office at (330) 452-2882.
 
***We will be having a President's Reception immediately following the regular Rotary meeting in order to thank President Tom Clevenger for his year of service to our club. So please plan on joining your fellow Rotarians for a fun and active meeting that day!
Please plan to attend our Rotary Club of Canton meeting this Friday, June 19, 2015, where we will install our officers for the new Rotary Year.  The installing official will be Past President Dave Ewing.  Outgoing President Tom Clevenger will be recognized and honored for his service this past year.
 
Officers being installed are:  Paul White - President; Craig Young - President Elect; Amanda Tietze - Vice President; David Schrade - Treasurer; Michelle Mullaly - Secretary; Robert K. Matthews - Sergeant at Arms.
 
New Trustees, whose term will end on June 30, 2018, are Steve Fettman, Kurt Goodenberger, Rebecca Marchino and Bruce Schorsten.
Retiring Board of Trustee members are Becky Clark, Tim Furbay, Robert Matthews and Sharon Sirpilla.
 
We will also be honoring those Canton Rotarians with 40+ years of service to the Club.

 Paul White, a 1966 graduate of Ohio Northern University, is the owner of the Medicine Center Pharmacies in the Canton area.  White is committed to patient care and educating the public about the vital role pharmacists play keeping them healthy.  He hosts an hour-long, health related talk show, Health Matters with the Medicine Center Pharmacy, on news-Talk 1480 WHBC in Canton along with his son, Brad White, RPh.  Together they welcome health care professionals from different specialties as guest speakers.  Past programs can be found on medshoprx.com.

In 2013, the Ohio Pharmacists Association recognized Paul’s contribution to Pharmacy with the Pharmacist’s Public Relations Award.  Currently Paul is Vice President of the Canton Rotary where he received the 2012 Rotarian of the Year award. This Friday he will be installed as President.  He is the President of Chain Drug Marketing Association where he also received the Member of the Year award in 2011.  Paul was selected by the American Pharmacists Association as a leader in Pharmacy and was sponsored by the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania for their Executive Development Program.  He has also spoken before the prestigious Industry Conference on Unit Dose Packaging in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as well as in Cologne, Germany.  He has served with numerous civic and professional groups including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the American Cancer Society, American and Ohio Pharmacists Association and the National Community Pharmacists Association.

The time is drawing near in which we will be closing out the 2014-2015 Rotary year. If you strive to achieve "perfect attendance" in a Rotary year, you will need to get your makeups turned into the Rotary office NO LATER than June 30th!
 
Just as a reminder, there are numerous Rotary Clubs in our area that you may attend and receive a makeup.  Please feel free to contact the Rotary office at (330) 452-2882 to see how many makeups you will need.

At our weekly Rotary meeting on June 12, 2015, President Elect Craig Young asked the members to keep Rotarian Becky Clark in their prayers. Becky is in Aultman Hospital dealing with health issues.  VP Craig also reminded the members about the photographer who will be taking a club photo for our 100 year history preceding the meeting on Friday, June 19th.  Please contact the Rotary office with your RSVP for this event so we have a better idea how to set up the staging area for this photo (please see story). 
 
Treasurer Dave Schrade welcomed the following guests to our meeting:  Zak Fettman, P.S. Murthy and Jennifer Clark.
 
The "Happy Bucks" news was then provided by the following:  Shawn Dougherty was thrilled that St. Thomas Acquinas girls track team won the State Championship.  This is the first Stark County girls team to win State!; Dave Ewing was happy to be in the same room with speaker, Andre Thornton; Rick Taylor was happy he woke up this morning and did not have guest, Dr. P.S. Murthy (Stark County Coronor), standing over him!!; Bruce Schorsten was happy the Blues Festival was in downtown Canton this weekend.
