As a reminder to members, there will be NO WEEKLY MEETINGS on December 26th and January 2nd due to the Holidays. We will not be sending out a Rotogram the week of December 29th, but will keep Members informed by emails of any important business.

Please mark your calendar for Saturday, March 14, 2015, for the Rotary Club of Canton's Annual Pancake Breakfast, Pick Your Prize Raffle AND Health Screening Events! This year's event will once again be held at McKinley High School. The Pancake Breakfast will include: Pancakes, Sausage, Orange Juice, Coffee and Milk.
A Pick Your prize Raffle will be displayed with many wonderful items to choose from! You can purchase tickets the day of the event and then decide what prizes you want to win by placing your ticket(s) into the corresponding bag in front of the item you are interested in. You will not need to be present to win.
The breakfast and raffle is the Rotary's largest fundraiser and helps fund our many, local charitable efforts through the year including:
Rotary Scouts
Foster Parenting
Rotary Youth Exchange program
Interact Club
Rotary Youth Leadership Awards

Anyone interested in attending the January 15th (Thursday) Martin Luther King, Jr. Mayor's Breakfast held at the Alex D. Krassas Event Center, located at 251-25th Street N.W., Canton, Ohio 44709 (next door to Malone University) may contact the Rotary office. The breakfast will start at 8:00 am.
We only have one (1) complimentary ticket left, so please make your request to the Rotary office no later than January 9th. Tickets will be disbursed on a first-come first-serve basis.
We are looking for individuals who would like to be a Greeter Leader for either the month of January or February. This Greeter Leader would meet and greet Rotarians and guests when they arrive at the weekly meetings during the respective month they chose. You would be asked to contact 3-4 other Rotarians to assist you in greeting during the month.
Please contact the Rotary office or see Lauri or Barb during a Friday meeting if you are willing to help.
At our weekly meeting on December 19, 2014, President Tom Clevenger announced this would be our final meeting of 2014 and our next scheduled Rotary meeting will be on Friday, January 9, 2015.
President Elect Paul White then brought the members up to date on the Charitable Fund. He states he has not achieved his goal of $12,000.00 but is close. Paul then proceeded to auction off two donated restaurant gift certificates to Grinders Above and Beyond and Kosmo's Restaurant worth $50. The winning bid went to Rotarian Amy Mustafaga paying $60 for these wonderful gift certificates. The money raised from this auction item will benefit the Canton Rotary Charitable Fund.
Another item which went up for auction to help benefit the Charitable Fund was donated by Rotarian Michelle Mullaly. She provided four (4) tickets to a Canton Symphony Orchestra performance. The winning bid was President Elect Paul White for $140.00.

Treasurer Dave Schrade welcomed the following guests to our meeting: Mary Ann Sherer, Dick Baker, Alice Barkan, Zack Fettman, Bob Schaffner, Catherine Myers, Bob Liebensperger, Jeff Willis, Tony Willis and Chuck Hoover.
The "Happy Bucks" news was then provided by the following Rotarians: Fred Whittier was very pleased to hear the "200th" WHBC medical program presented by President Elect Paul White ***Tim Shetzer then provided his own happy bucks with a correction stating it was the "100th" show anniversary; Dan Matthews was pleased to have his brother's guest in attendance. He stated that Tony Willis was a gentlemen he himself had hired at Matthews & Company 37 years ago and now Tony is retiring; Rick Taylor stated he and Denny Fulmer had just returned from Allen Elementary School where they attended the disabled scouts Christmas pizza party.
