At our weekly meeting on March 4, 2016, President Paul White welcomed our members and guests to the meeting.  PP Rick Huetter gave the Invocation.
 
President Paul then asked any Rotarian with a March birthday to please stand and be recognized.
 
Club Secretary Michelle Mullaly welcomed the following guests to our meeting:  Daniel McKimm, Daniel van Epps, Victor Pavona (3 guests of Tena Wilson), Julie Gill (guest of Julia Dick) and Eric Smer (Plain Twp Rotarian) and Richard Regula (Massillon Rotarian).
 
The "Happy Bucks" news was then provided by the following Rotarians: Nick Perini was very pleased to announce the birth of his second child, a daughter named Vera; Massillon Rotary President Richard Regula was happy he was able to take his parents to visit his mom's sister and also stated his father was baptized in Nimishillen Creek; PP Rick Taylor was happy because on March 15th the 'Celebrity Cuisine' would take place at the Civic Center (tickets are $30.00 and proceeds will benefit Community Harvest);  President Elect Craig Young announced his band "Bandog" would be playing at Greentown VFW.
 
President Paul, who is chairman of "Pick Your Prize" raffle during the Pancake Festival, once again asked the members to consider providing donations of rounds of golf, restaurant certificates, gift baskets or any items they may have "around the house" they would like to donate. Donations are currently running behind previous years. President Paul also announced the Pro Football Hall of Fame would be providing a $5.00 discount on admission to the HOF for any individual attending the Pancake Festival.  This discount would be valid on the day of the Pancake event only. Paul also reminded members to please sign up as a volunteer for Pancake day. We need 'all hands on deck' for this event!
 
PP Rick Taylor took to the podium and thanked those members who volunteered for Junior Achievement on February 25th.  He reminded the membership there would be another opportunity to volunteer on April 6th at Dueber Elementary School.  Flyers were on the table for anyone interested in this event.
 
Vice President Amanda Tietze then made an announcement regarding the upcoming "Rotarian of the Year" Award.  Nominations are now being accepted now through March 18th. (please see story above)
 
The following Rotarians will receive a makeup for volunteering for Junior Achievement on February 25th: Chris Burt, Mark Clendenin, Rick Eicheldinger, Bruce Hale, Tony Pierce, Larry Pitts, and Rick Taylor.  
 
The following Rotarians will receive a makeup for attending the District Mid-Year Assembly on Saturday, Feb. 27th:  President Paul White, President Elect Craig Young and Vice President Amanda Tietze.
