Strauss Furniture and Studios

John Strauss is celebrating his 30th year as an art and furniture creator in Canton.  John is from Chicago and graduated from Brown University and Hunter College.  He was a self-employed carpenter and furniture maker before moving to Canton and opening Strauss Studios to design and make fine furniture.  John also owns the Elemental Arts retail store and has been a city resident and business for three decades.  He has been on the public arts task force, the Stark County 20/20 Arts Vision Task Force, and the city's architectual review board.  He is past-president of the Canton Jewish Federation and has been involved for over 20 years in the Federation's relationship with Israel.  He is married to Carisa and has five adult daughters.
