The annual Canton Rotary Charitable Fund (CRCF) drive is underway and your donations are coming in. Thank you to those who have contributed!The CRCF is the nonprofit portion of our club that has tax-exempt status by virtue of the numerous charitable programs we undertake. One great example of a community service project that is helped by our CRCG is the exciting “Pack the Bus” food drive event, currently scheduled for this week (See details above).
It is this type of community outreach that reinforces our mission of “Service Above self”. It is through your generous donations to the CRCF that brings this mission to life.
At this point in our drive, we are approaching 50% of our $14,000 Goal. Many Rotarians have responded generously thus far. But the majority of the club has not yet responded. Now is the time for all of us to give to this important part of our club. We have several ways to give, including: cash or check; credit card; the donation of appreciated securities; or qualified retirement distributions. If you have any questions about the CRCG or some of the tax-advantaged ways to contribute, please give me a call.
