Greetings Canton Rotary Friends,

As we rounded August, I'm pleased to say that we broke into a new lunch meeting attendance number.  I’m happy to report that we had 38 Canton Rotarians, 2 guests, and one speaker on August 27th.  This brought us to 41 lunch attendees and left me with the feeling that we are on our way back.  We’re not yet at our Pre-Covid numbers of 55-60 members in attendance, but we keep making great strides.  I continue to ask each of you to reach out to those you haven’t seen in a while and offer them the opportunity to join us.  I might even suggest picking them up and bringing them.  That’s what friends do.

This past week a good friend of mine that I haven’t seen in awhile called me and asked me to golf with him.  He even offered to pick me up.  I accepted and we had a marvelous time together.  The moral of the story is that sometimes you just must ask.

We continue the artful balancing of having too much or not enough food, so I continue to ask each of you to register early for your attendance using Eventbrite.  If you have problems with it, or just can’t’ figure it out, don’t worry.  Just reach out to Rotarian Sue Marzano by phone, email, or text and she will see to it that you are signed up for the lunch meeting.

This week we are having a club assembly led by yours truly.  I’m looking forward to providing everyone with a snapshot of the club, update on current activities, a view of our future, the introduction of our newest members, and having a little fun.  Remember this is your club and often you get out of things what you put into them.  Let’s all crank the attendance up this week, and I’ll promise you an interesting club assembly.

As I have said before The Canton Rotary is where we give our passions a home!

Have a great week and I’ll see you Friday.
