THE CATERER FROM THE KRASSAS EVENT CENTER WILL PREPARE BOXED LUNCHES OF HAM OR TURKEY SANDWICHES, CHIPS AND A COOKIE. THE COST FOR LUNCH WILL BE $15.00 (UNLESS YOU HAVE ALREADY PRE-PAID WITH YOUR DUES).
President Mark Rojek would like to put our Rotary slogan "SERVICE ABOVE SELF'" to work during this Friday's meeting. The first half hour of the meeting will consist of Club news and a presentation from our speakers from Goodwill Industries.
The second half hour of the meeting, Rotarians will have the opportunity to participate in one of two service projects which will help the Stark County Hunger Task Force. Here's how it will work:
- One group will join Stephanie Sweany, with the Hunger Task Force, to organize and stock products on shelves. They will have a new order that will come in on Thursday and each box of product needs to be labeled and put on shelves. There will also be donated product that will need organized. They had a huge influx of donations last week and there is much work that we can help with!
- The other group will stay in the meeting room to make holiday cards which will be presented to students prior to their winter break. We will keep the greetings simple and generic with messages like "Happy Holidays", "Seasons Greetings" and "Happy New Year". Materials will be provided.
- Even though our meeting will end at the usual 1 pm, you are welcome to stay longer if you'd like. Stephanie will be in the office all afternoon.
This is a convenient way to put our Rotary slogan into action. We hope you will join us.
