
During her 30-year career in public service, Susan Verble has held various community outreach and leadership positions for state and local government. In 1991, she started as a volunteer for State Senator Betty Montgomery and spent the next 15 years working for Montgomery in roles handling media and community relations in the Attorney General’s Office and Auditor of State’s Office. In 2008, newly-elected Auditor of State Mary Taylor promoted her to manage the regional field staff, and she followed Taylor to the Lt. Governor’s Office where she served as Deputy Chief of Staff.
In 2016, Susan continued her career at the Stark County Board of Elections and was appointed Director in 2025. In this position, she oversees the administration of elections in Ohio’s eighth largest county and is dedicated to delivering the highest level of service to voters and candidates.
Susan received her B.S. from the Ohio State University where she double-majored in Operations Management and Economics. In 2017, she earned her Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Walsh University. She resides in North Canton with her husband, and they are the parents of two grown sons.
