Hammer & Nails 

Darlene Leghart is a life-long Canton resident, graduated from Canton Lincoln High School, attended Stark Technical College and Kent State for business & accounting. Co-founder of Hammer & Nails, current executive director. Co-owner of Leghart & Associates and Leghart Investments. Neighborhood activist: Co-founder and past president with Summit United Neighbors and Colonial Heights Neighborhood.  Received city and state awards for crime prevention. Received housing awards through Hammer & Nails. Past Sunday School teacher, Women’s ministry leader and youth leader. Have taken youth on mission trips. Married 41 years, 4 grown children, 13 fun loving and very loud grandchildren. A bookkeeper who answered the call to ministry and was jerked out of her comfort zone and has learned how to be an executive director, interview homeowners, order and deliver projects materials, write grants and speak in public.  This exciting adventure is meeting the needs of desperate people who just need love, help and resources.
