Lauren Capo is the social media and special event marketing coordinator for Q92 WDJQ, the Vice President of In Your Shoes - The Sophia Capo Memorial Foundation, and sits on the board for the Canton Symphony Orchestra.  A native of Stark County, Lauren and her husband contributed to the passage of the Newborn Healthy Hearts Bill (SB4) in 2013 that made pulse oximetry testing a mandatory part of the newborn screening protocols in Ohio.  Working with Senator Scott Oeslager and the American Heart Association, SB4 was signed into legislation in July 2013.  Driven by the loss of their youngest daughter, Sophia, Lauren and her husband, Tony, continue their work advocating for local children impacted by congenital heart defects, having formed their own 501c3 non-profit in 2015.   Their mission is to raise awareness for Congenital Heart Defects, to educate parents about early detection and intervention, and to support families affected by these defects.  Lauren resides in North Canton with Tony and their two children, Maryn and Anthony.
