At our meeting on Friday, August 27, 2021, PP Dan Matthews introduced our newest Canton Rotarian, Michael Milbrandt. Please take the time to welcome Michael to our club and get to know him a little bit.
Here's Michael's information:
Michael was born and raised in Bay Village, Ohio and attended Kent State University, where he received a B.A. in Gerontology with a special focus on Nursing Home Administration.  Michael worked as a nursing home administrator for 15 years and then moved up to be Regional Vice President for a chain of nursing homes in Ohio. After 12 years as Regional Vice President, Michael returned to facility administration.
Recently he accepted a position at Hanover Healthcare in Perry Township so he could be at a facility closer to home and where he could make a difference improving the lives of individuals in need.
Michael originally joined Rotary about 20 years ago in Parma, Ohio and was elected Vice President of that club before moving his membership to the Strongsville Rotary due to a change in jobs.  Eventually, travel due to work prevented Michael from maintaining his membership with Rotary. However, now that he is anchored closer to home, Michael is excited to rejoin the Canton Rotary family.
Michael lives on Meyers Lake with his wife Audra and is a councilman for Meyers Lake Village. Michael has 2 daughters, 2 step-sons and a small dog named Munchkin. Michael is especially proud of his daughters' educational pursuits, as his oldest is working on her PhD at Case Western Reserve University and his youngest is working on her Master’s degree at The University of Cincinnati (Editor's note: Go Bearcats!).
Growing up very close to Lake Erie, Michael has always had a love for the water and now spends every minute he can on his pontoon boat out on Meyers Lake.
