REGISTRATION DEADLINE FOR THE ROTARY FOUNDATION CELEBRATION IS FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 7TH!!

President Tom is asking each Canton Rotarian to take a moment to read the information below submitted by ADG Division 2A Bob Schaffner. This event is on November 15, 2014, and will be held at the Canton Club. Deadline to register is Friday, November 7th!! 

 

​Assistant District Governor, Bob Schaffner says, "I want to encourage all Rotarians from Division 2A (Stark County) to take an evening to attend the Rotary Foundation Celebration that will be held on November 15th at the Canton Club (Downtown Canton). The same program will be held the previous night in Youngstown if that date works better for you.  The RI Foundation is one of the best in the world, with an incredible list of achievements and the highest possible ratings from charity watchdogs. Of course, our work with Polio is legendary.  However, that is the tip of the iceberg for the RI Foundation.

 

Governor Phil has worked to keep the program brief and interesting, avoiding pleas for money and instead truly celebrating our Foundation and all that it has accomplished.  It is also inexpensive ($20/person).  Our featured speaker is Tom Thorfinnson, who is an outstanding and moving spokesperson for the Foundation.  There will be a cash bar and social hour from 6 pm to 7 pm, with the program running from 7 pm until 8:15 pm. I encourage you to bring your spouse, a friend, or someone who might be interested in Rotary.  There is no better way to see that Rotarians really do improve both their communities and the world.  What you will learn will inspire you and make you proud to be a Rotarian.
