Stu is currently the Executive Director of All Aboard Ohio (AAO): previously serving as public affairs director for the statewide passenger rail advocacy association. He is a member of AAO for over 20 years.

A self-described “recovering journalist”, Stu previously spent a 22-year career in television news as a reporter and Assistant News Director. As a journalist and public relations professional, he has won awards for writing and storytelling including the PRSA Columbus Chapter “Prism Award” for I-71-670 Columbus Crossroads Project (Team Award), an Emmy nomination for Best Overall Reporting, Best Reporter / Best Feature Reporting awards from Associated Press, UPI, Iowa Broadcasters Association, Nebraska Broadcasters Association and the Associated Press “Mark Twain Award” for Best Storytelling.

Stu also has 15 years working in public relations and media relations as:

· Public Information Director (PIO) and Communications Director for the Central Ohio Transit Authority

· PIO for the Ohio Rail Development Commission

· Representing Ohio Governors Taft and Strickland on the Midwest Interstate Passenger Rail Commission

· Served as a member of former Columbus, Ohio Mayor Michael Coleman’s Downtown Streetcar Committee and is a member of the National Association of Railroad Passengers.

He is married with two daughters and a granddaughter. In his spare time, Stu has been a girls fast-pitch softball coach for 20 seasons and is an avid bicyclist and photographer.
