October 24 is World Polio Day. For decades, Rotary International has funded the fight to eradicate polio in hard-to-reach places. Your local Rotary has joined in the Purple Pinkie Project to raise money for this effort.
Regular polio vaccinations in third-world countries help stop the spread of “wild polio.” Participants get a dab of purple paint on their fingernail to show that they have been
inoculated Your $20 donation gets you a dozen donuts with the proceed going to our worldwide campaign.
How you can help:
1. Go to cantonrotary.org and click “make payment.”
2. Make your $20 donation and put your name or organization in the memo line.
3. On Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from noon to 5 pm, come pick up your donuts at the office of Attorney Paul Hervey, 4700 Dressler Ave. NW, REAR OF BUILDING.
