Hello Fellow Canton Rotarians,
Just like that it is August! It is so incredibly hard to believe that the summer is moving along so quickly. I thought this week I could recap a bit from last Friday’s lunch meeting. If you couldn’t join us, you missed an excellent talk from Dr. Rusnak, our Stark County Coroner, and as it turns out, the neighbor of Jon Adland, Sue Marzanno, Kyle Brown and myself. Small world!
Our August 6th 2021 meeting at John’s bar will close out a great COVID adjustment time for us. I would be remiss if I didn’t thank Past President Drew Pelger and the John’s Bar management and great staff that helped us keep the lunches going. Please join us at John’s Bar this Friday as we close that chapter.
August 13th 2021 will mark our first traditional luncheon since the start of COVID. Our new Friday luncheon location is at Christ Presbyterian Church located in downtown Canton on Tuscarawas across from the Timken Campus of McKinley High School.
We have again contracted with Mr. Mike’s as our caterer. Our choice of this location was based on their ability to provide a beautiful venue, with a perfect location, with an elevator and onsite parking. There will be more information coming on this so stay tuned for details. I will need some volunteers to make this happen. I’m in need of greeters, attendance workers, cash handlers, and someone to handle Zooming the meeting. Please reach out to me by text or phone at 330-267-8869.
