At our weekly meeting on September 26, 2014, President Tom Clevenger announced that the members in attendance would be receiving ice cream from Taggart's Ice Cream, compliments of Rotarian Dale Holwick.  Dale celebrated his 89th Birthday on Wednesday! President Tom reminded the membership we now have the ability to take credit/debit cards to pay for lunch or Rotary fees.  He also reminded the members we are still looking for a second home for our Youth Exchange Student from Brazil.  If anyone is interested in becoming the Host Family for this young man, please contact Chairwoman Amy Mustafaga or the Rotary office.  President Tom thanked September Speaker Chair, Sharon Sirpilla, for her outstanding speakers for the month.
 
President Elect Paul White brought the members up to date on the status of this years Charitable Fund Drive.  Paul relayed that the Charitable Fund has raised $4,500.00 to date.
 
Rotarian Becky Clark (also a former Canton McKinley Cheerleader!) made an announcement regarding the sale of t-shirts being sold for members to wear to the McKinley/Massillon Rally on October 31st. The shirts are $20.00 and the deadline to place your order for a shirt is Friday, October 3rd.
 
Rotarian Tena Wilson introduced the newest member to the club, Stacey Giammarco (*see story below).
 
Club Secretary Amanda Tietze welcomed the following guests to our meeting: Kristan Preston, Gerry Knoter and Bryan Dauterman (past Canton Rotarian).  Due to the time constraints, the "Happy Bucks" did not take place but will resume next Friday.  
 
Only one Rotarian turned in a make-up slip Friday: Phil Lattavo (Canton South).  Rotarians attending the "Nominating Committee" meeting and receiving a make-up were: President Tom Clevenger, President Elect Paul White, Club Secretary Amanda Tietze, Becky Clark, Michelle Mullaly and Paul Feaser. Rotarians attending the "Endowment Committee" meeting were: Greg Luntz, Dave Roberts and Treasurer Dave Schrade.
