At the weekly meeting on July 13, 2018, President Amanda Tietze welcomed the 64 members and 5 guests to the meeting.
 
Rotarian Jon Adland gave the Invocation.
 
Secretary Suzette Matthews welcomed the following guests to the meeting: Arlene Hazlett, Bill Hazlett, Caitlin Hazlett, Ryan Mullaly and Nate Mullaly (guests of Michelle Mullaly).
 
The "Happy Bucks" news was then provided by the following:
  • Ernie Schott - to announce to Rick Taylor and the Club that Sunday, July 15th is National Ice Cream Day. A GREAT DAY to celebrate ice cream;
  •  
  • Bruce Schorsten - to remind everyone to sign up and attend our Annual Golf Outing on August 17, 2018.
  •      - In addition, Bruce invites all to the Schorsten Jr. Golf Outing on July 24 & 25, 2018. A great opportunity for youngsters
  •  
  • PP Rick Taylor - to announce that he's happy that Ernie Schott thought of him for National Ice Cream day on Sunday, July 15, 2018;
  •  
  • Dennis Dent - to celebrate seeing everyone attending the meeting today. Glad to be here, glad to see you.
The following announcements were made from the podium:
  • Bill Maddox informed the members about the $1000 Rotaplast Challenge Match (*see story above)
  •  
  • Rotarian Tony Pierce addressed the members about the "New Member Project" which will help the Military Family Center. There will be a festival on Friday August 10, 2018 from 4 pm - 9 pm at 5495 Meese Road in Louisville. There will be a petting zoo, inflatables, face painting, dunk tank, car show, games and live music. There will be a $2 admission fee per person and parking is free. All proceeds go towards PTSD recovery services for first responders and military families.

  • President Amanda stated on each table was the "Year End Review" document
  •  
  • Secretary Suzette Matthews announced a reception would be held immediately after the conclusion of the meeting to congratulate President Amanda for her service to the club
President Amanda then thanked her retiring Trustees for their years of service: Rebecca Marchino and Bruce Schorsten.
  
 
PDG/PP Bob Pattison was the installing officer for the incoming 2018-2019 Board of Directors and Trustees and installed new President Michelle Mullaly; President Elect Mark Rojek; Vice President Drew Pelger; Treasurer Tom Clevenger; Secretary Suzette Matthews; Sergeant-at-Arms Robert Matthews. New Trustees were Kim Kroh, and Jim Molnar. Steve Fettman was re-installed as Trustee. (*New Trustee not in attendance and who will be installed at later date is Stephanie Snow Werren. Trustee Kurt Goodenberger was not in attendance and will be re-installed for another term at a later date).

Brief remarks were then given by outgoing President Amanda Tietze.
 
President Michelle Mullaly then presented the Club's gifts, a Rotary purse and shirt, to Past President Amanda Tietze and thanked her for her service to the Club.
     
 
President Michelle concluded the meeting with the following:
  • next week's speaker will be District Governor Scott Schulick;
  • there will be a Board meeting immediately following the conclusion of next week's meeting with the District Governor;
  • don't forget to stay for the reception in honor of Past President Amanda Tietze.
The following Rotarian turned in a makeup during Friday's meeting: Mark Clendenin (Jackson).
