At our meeting on Friday March 4, 2022, President Mark welcomed 39 Rotarians, both in person and on Zoom, plus guest, Emma George, Jennie George's daughter.
We had the distinct pleasure of hearing from not only Dr. Sarah Bolton, President of the College of Wooster, but also PP Konstantin Salenko of the Rotary Club of Cherkasy, Ukraine via Zoom.

1887 – Helen Keller meets her teacher and “miracle worker”, Anne Sullivan.
1918 – Just before breakfast, Private Albert Gitchell of the U.S. Army reports to the hospital at Fort Riley, Kansas, complaining of the cold-like symptoms of sore throat, fever and headache. Soon after, over 100 of his fellow soldiers had reported similar symptoms, marking what are believed to be the first cases in the historic influenza pandemic of 1918, later known as the Spanish flu.
1994 - The larger-than-life comedic star, John Candy, dies suddenly of a heart attack at the age of 43.
1966 – John Lennon makes his first of many controversial statements: “We (the Beatles) are more popular than Jesus”.
