Canton Rotarian Theresa Blocher is a third-generation member of the KIKO Company and has been full-time with the company since 1989. She is a real estate Broker and Auctioneer.
Theresa has a Bachelors Degree in Business from The Ohio State University. She serves as Chairwoman of the Ohio Auctioneers Commission, Appointed by Governor Mike DeWine, and is a member of the Ohio Auctioneers Association, the National Auctioneers Association, the Ohio Association of Realtors, and National Association of Realtors. Theresa is actively involved in her community and serves on the Board of Directors for the Minerva YMCA, County Wide YMCA Board of Trustees, and, of course, is a member of the Canton Rotary.
She and her husband Tim Blocher, DVM, attended a "People to People" education trip to Cuba in February 2020. Theresa will share with us the current conditions and economy in Cuba, and describe their experiences staying at local farms, homes, and hostels, eating the local food, and seeing the tobacco farms and classic cars. She will also describe the conditions there of limited supplies of food, fuel, and basic goods like toilet paper, and then the irony of returning to the United States to face a shortage of toilet paper due to the COVID-19 pandemic!
At our Zoom meeting on February 12, 2021, President Drew Pelger, opened the meeting by welcoming a total of 32 Canton Rotarians (live at John's Bar and also via Zoom), plus Debbie Poland, guest of Suzette Matthews, Mike Green, guest of PDG/PP Dave Ewing, and our speaker, Dr. Sarah Tegtmeier.
Secretary Paula Mastroianni presented some interesting historical facts for the day and announced the following famous Rotarians:

Paula also received "Happy Bucks" from PDG/PP Dave Ewing, Bob Matthews, Lynn Hamilton and Darin Nissley.
President Drew made the following announcements:
The Rotary Office will be moving to their new office located at: 116 Cleveland Ave, NW, Suite 525, Canton, Ohio 44702, next week
He also announced that in April, Derek Gordon's podcast, What's Up Stark?, will be focusing on Rotary and will feature President Drew eating massive quantities of spicy chicken wings to pay off his bet with Massillon Rotary on the outcome of the Bulldogs/Tigers football game.

Since our annual Canton Rotary Oktoberfest was cancelled due to COVID, we are selling the Canton Rotary Brew Card to raise funds for the Canton Rotary Charitable Fund.
The Brew Card provides discounts on food and/or merchandise at nine (9) local and regional breweries and brewpubs.
These cards are valid through June 30, 2021, so as vaccines roll out and folks feel it is safer to visit these breweries, the cards will still be valid!
