Help motivate President-Elect Paul Hervey to lose weight while helping to raise money for the Charitable Fund (note: this is our Annual Charitable Fund Drive!) Your donation depends upon how much weight Hervey loses. (Hint: he could stand to lose a lot!)
Bonus: If we raise $20,000, Past Presidents Mark Clendenin and Drew Pelger have volunteered to take the Polar Bear Plunge in February!
Let’s work together to make it happen! You can fill out and return this form or send in your pledge to Paul (paul@hervey.co, 330-704-2935).
Thank you in advance for your wonderful support.

We have 8 of you that have volunteered to help with some work at the Canton Rotary/Habitat Pocket Park at Allen Ave. and Johns Ct. SE
Next Friday September 23!
As a reminder, we will be holding our regular meeting there at noon on that day (assuming the weather cooperates). A box lunch will be served and we will get an update on Habitat's recent activity during lunch.
Parking is available on the streets near the park.
At our weekly meeting last Friday 9/9/22, President Rick welcomed one million Canton Rotarians and two guests: our speaker, Chris McIntyre, and Liza Grossman, who previously visited our club when her husband, Dr. Michael Grossman, spoke about the Ukrainian War. Chris McIntyre gave some very informative insight into the current mission of the Inventors' Hall of Fame, which, besides honoring the inductees, centers around taking the creative and entrepreneurial spirit of those inductees into local schools, to encourage students to develop the traits that lead these folks to success (and will make them better citizens, employees, and business people themselves!)
Secretary Paula Mastroianni welcomed our guests, gave a quick run down of some local events coming up, and asked for any Happy Bucks. PP Mark Clendenin and President Rick were both happy and willing to share their happiness with a contribution to the Cahritable Fund!
Vice President Jennie George, who also chairs our Interact Club Committee, reports that Ms. Harding, who was the advisor for our McKinley Interact Club last year, has taken a job in a different district. Therefore, we need a new advisor to step in at McKinley this year.
If you should happen to know anyone who you think might be a good advisor for Interact and whom you think might be willing, please let Jennie know. Her cell is 330-268-2196, email is jgeorge@cantoncpc.org.
District Governor Michelle Charles has set a goal for District 6650 to raise $100,000 for the Rotary International Disaster Relief Fund, specifically to benefit the Ukraine.
Therefore, we are all invited to "A Night for Ukraine", a special event on Saturday November 5th at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 5305 Massillon Rd, North Canton starting at 6 PM. Cost is $60 per person and includes an authentic Ukrainian ethnic menu, performances from local Ukrainian musicians and dancers, and a special appearance from Past RI President Barry Rassin.
Your Canton Rotary Board of Trustees has agreed to budget a $2500 donation to the District's Ukraine fundraising efforts from our Charitable Fund. However, if you, your business or someone you know would like to also contribute to this cause, either directly or via tickets or a sponsorship of the Night for Ukraine Dinner, information is provided at this link: http://rotarydistrict6650.org/
