World Polio Day
On World Polio Day, 24 October, Rotary International will celebrate the progress we have made in the fight against polio and remind the world that polio anywhere is a threat to children everywhere.  We need your help to spread the word that together.  Please remember this decades-long effort by Rotary International and consider making a donation in support of keeping our world safe from this disease.

Massillon-McKinley lunch October 20

It's the luncheon we wait for all year!  Please join our friends from Massillon as we host our annual football rivalry luncheon this Friday, October 20, at 11:45 am (early start time).  We are meeting at Malone's Johnson Center (on Cleveland Avenue in the converted former church) for a catered lunch.  Reservations are closed, but guests are welcome to watch for free.

We will start off with music from the McKinley band, followed by a quiz of the mayors (no speeches!) and comments from the superintendents and coaches from each school.  We will also have a presentation from district governor Dr. Rich Tirpak in advance of Rotary Polio Day on October 24 and a report on the Purple Pinkie Project. We will be holding a 50-50 raffle with proceeds going to Rotary polio projects.

Please join the Canton and Massillon Rotary clubs for a joint meeting on Friday, October 20, 2023 at Malone's Johnson Center.  Mayors, players, coaches, and school officials will be joined by McKinley's band and cheerleaders for a fun-filled event.  Cost is $20 and RSVPs are required by October 13.  You can RSVP and pay here or on our website.

Drive to the north parking lot above the Brehme Center and overlooking King Athletic Field.  Enter the building and walk through the hallway into Malone's cafeteria.  Pay for your meal ($9) and get your food, then join us in the south conference room.  If you arrive after 11:50 am, there may be a line of students waiting to pay.  Grab your food and remember to pay before you leave.

Coming soon - lunches every Friday
At the September 28 board meeting, Canton Rotary decided to scrap the "alternate meetings" and return to lunches every Friday as soon as possible.  Further announcement will be made when we have finalized the schedule with Malone.  As of now, we are "lunching" on October 20; November 3 and 17; and December 1 and 15.

We plan to be "speakerless" on the second Friday of every month to conduct club business and work together to strengthen our club.  Feedback is always appreciated.

Please remember that there are no lunches on November 27 or December 22 or 29 due to holidays.
