 Teresa has more than 30 years of combined leadership experience in the computer software and sales industry as well as the Oil and Gas industry. Teresa is currently serving as Vice President, Business Development for Huneo, LLC, a biophysical data management software startup based in the Silicon Valley.
Prior to joining Huneo, Teresa spent nearly 20 years at OSIsoft where she was instrumental in the startup of the sales program and held top tier sales accomplishments. Teresa provided leadership in securing new Strategic Accounts, developing new Strategic Market Segments, and in the establishment of OSIsoft’s Enterprise Sales and Global Account Management Programs. Ms. Dixon also served in an advisory role on OSIsoft's Technical Steering Committee.
Prior to OSIsoft, Teresa spent over 10 years with Ashland Oil, Inc. and Ashland Petroleum Company in various IT leadership positions. She moved to the Canton area while employed at Ashland Petroleum and is a native of Ashland, Kentucky.
With an emphasis in Epidemiology, in 1979 Teresa earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Eastern Kentucky University. In 1984, Ms. Dixon was awarded Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges and held various Student Government positions during her undergraduate years.
As a young college graduate, Ms. Dixon turned her attention to impoverished residents in rural Southeastern Kentucky and worked as a Health Educator in the foothills of Appalachia. She also worked as a college intern with the City of Richmond, Kentucky, as a Relocation Specialist and tended to the safety and wellbeing of the poor living in substandard housing.
Teresa is an active member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in downtown Canton and Co-Chairs the Thanksgiving Baskets Downtown food distribution to the needy, which feeds roughly 5,000 Stark County residents annually. Teresa also mentors teens with potential, in a downtown urban gardening project that teaches the teens farm to table basics. A Hospice Volunteer in Kentucky during the startup of the Hospice program, Teresa diligently works to promote social justice and supply needed support to hunger and animal rescue efforts globally.

 The upcoming McKinley/Massillon joint rally Rotary meeting will be held on Friday, October 31st at the Eagles #190 in Massillon located at 303 Weirich Blvd. N.W. We would like you to consider now if you will be attending and if you are planning to bring a guest to this meeting.  During the October 3, 2014 meeting, Roberta “Bobbi” Montenegro, was presented with a Paul Harris Fellow. Canton Rotarian and presenter, Bill Griffing, had this to say about Bobbi:
"The Rotarian that I have the honor of presenting today is not aware that she is about to become our newest Paul Harris Fellow. This recognition was made possible by an anonymous donation to The Rotary Foundation. Fifteen years ago, I had the privilege of introducing Bobbi Montenegro as a new member to our club. At the time, Bobbi was Executive Director of The ARC and I was a trustee of that fine organization. During her years as a Rotarian, Bobbi not only has shown a willingness to step forward whenever she has been asked, but has maintained perfect attendance ever since her introduction.
Professionally, Bobbi works as a key administrative executive with the Stark County Board of Developmental Disabilities where she serves as
Director of Service and Support Administration and Investigative Services. She is planning to retire at the end of November this year.
Bobbi grew up in Marietta, Ohio, moved to Columbus with her family and is a fellow Buckeye as she graduated with a Master’s Degree in Psychology and Nursing from The Ohio State University. Bobbi is a widow, with 2 children, 3 step-children, 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grand-children. Bobbi enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and keeping closely connected to our community.
For me personally, Bobbi has always been a consummate professional and a sincere friend. I’ll give just one example: Bobbi met my wife Pat a time or two during the years I was on the board of the ARC, but even to this day, every time I talk with her, she never fails to ask: “How’s Patty? / Please tell her I said Hi”. That small act of kindness is just one of many that reveal Bobbi’s true character."

“Build the Future with Action and Vision”
In preparation to serving as president, Joe and his wife Nancy attended the Rotary International Convention in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in June of 1996.
- On August 2nd the Club hosted it’s own District 6650 Governor David Ewing, past president 1989-1990 who outlined his goals for the upcoming Rotary Year. Also in August the club held it’s annual golf outing at The Legend’s in Massillon. Rotarian Ron Miller, Jr. who posted a gross score of 76, won this year’s event.
- In September, The club initiated a new form of recognition referred to as the “Spirit Above Self” award with the idea of recognizing fellow members of our club who had exemplified that Rotary logo through their community involvement. Among the honorees throughout the year were Rotarians Karen Belden, Bill Clark, Tom Schervish and past president and past district governor Stan Ewing.
- In October the Club held a reverse raffle at Skyland Pines that raised over $4,500.00 for the Club’s Charitable Fund.
- On December 2nd, the Club’s Blood Bank Committee hosted a District wide bone marrow typing drive at Stark State Technical College for the purpose of adding to the National Bone Marrow Donor Pool. The event was a great success with over 1,000 individuals offering both blood and bone marrow typing. This program later qualified our club for a Rotary International Significant Achievement Award presented on behalf of RI President Luis Vicente Giay.
- At its regular meeting on Friday January 31st, the club hosted a significant event at the behest of District Governor Ewing. In recognition of the fiftieth anniversary of the death of Rotary founder Paul Harris, the Club bestowed Paul Harris Fellow recognition on sixty-eight individuals. Our speaker for the program was Ms. Kristin Boxall, Supervisor of Donor Services from Rotary International in Evanston.
- On February 11th the Club’s exchange students addressed us at our regular meeting. This year’s incoming students were:
- Marie Teresa Dominguez from Barquisimto, Venezuela
- Leandro Melo from Belo Horizonte, Brazil
- Veronique Prost, Ste. Anne d’Auray, France
- On March 8th the club hosted its annual major fundraiser our Pancake Day. This year’s event was chaired by Rotarian Donna Palmer and was a great success insofar as it netted $25, 285 for the club’s Charitable Fund, certainly one of our better years. New this year was a change in venue from McKinley High School cafeteria where the event had been held since the mid 1980’s to the Canton Civic Center. The change was regarded as favorable as both attendance and profits were up.
- On May 2nd through the 4th Canton hosted the District 6650 annual conference at the Canton Hilton. The event was presided over by District Governor and Canton Rotarian Dave Ewing and co-chaired by Canton Rotarians and past presidents Richard Farson and Ray Hexamer. A few of the highlights were: Friday’s luncheon speaker, Cleveland Indians Vice President and General Manager John Hart; Saturday’s Governors banquet featured speaker Cleveland Indian’s manager Mike Hargrove and his wife Sharon. Our Club was the proud recipient of the Bryce Kendall award for outstanding Club Service and the inaugural award of the Jack Maxwell Award for Most Outstanding Club Bulletin in honor of our own Jack Maxwell, longtime Club Program editor. The Canton Club was also the recipient of a Presidential Citation in recognition of our various achievements throughout the Rotary Year.
- On May 7th the Rotary Club of Canton headed to Jacob’s Field in Cleveland to see the Cleveland Indians play the Toronto Blue Jays. Buses were chartered for the event and a great evening was enjoyed by all in attendance.

 As you know, our Canton Rotary Club will be 100 years old in 2015. What better way to celebrate this monumental milestone than to show your support for The Canton Rotary Charitable Fund. Your donation will help our continuing commitment to “Service Above Self” with the charitable work that we do.
With the centennial celebration, we are looking to raise our profile in the community with some new projects that will not only serve Canton but also raise the profile of The Rotary Club of Canton. To prepare for this historic event, our club needs your continued support with your annual contribution to The Canton Rotary Charitable Fund.
This Charitable fund was established in 1970 to fund our community charitable ventures. Contributions raised last year helped support some of the following projects:
