H.O.P.E Coalition

Pastor Michael Pressley Sr. is the Pastor of Mt. Zion Church of God in Christ in Canton Ohio and CEO of Zion CDC. In 2006,
Pastor Pressley retired from AT&T to begin full time ministry. In 2012, he was appointed Pastor of Mt. Zion COGIC.

Pastor Pressley is very active in the community. He was responsible for bringing the EPA Workforce Development
Training Program to Canton. Through this program, 140 unemployed adults, mostly minorities, were trained and placed
in the environmental job sector. He also worked closely with the Stark County Re-entry program and served on the Stark County
Oil and Gas Advisory Board as the liaison to the African American community. He has been certified as a Recovery
Coach for the Access To Recovery program. He has recently formed the H.O.P.E. coalition (Health Overdose Prevention
Education) to address the increase of overdoses in the African American community.

Pastor Pressley has been married to Yvonne Pressley for 37 yrs. He’s the father of two, Michael Jr. (wife Adrianne Pressley), and
Mai Anna Pressley. He has three Grandchildren.
