At our Zoom meeting on August 28, 2020, President Drew Pelger opened the meeting by welcoming 25 Canton Rotarians, plus guests: Massillon Rotarians Richard Regula and Keith Nutter; RJ Matthew/PSB Animal Health's guests John Matthews, Dan Reed, Susie Berstler, Jeff Marsh, Kevin Warrene and Tim Barta; Dave Roberts' guest Louanne Kiko; and our speaker Scott Higgins.

Club Secretary Paula Mastroianni presented some interesting historical facts for the day and asked the Rotary trivia question: "How much were annual dues at the first Rotary Club"?  (The answer to Paula's question: There were no dues originally at the first Rotary Club. The group voted there would be no dues and all club expenses would be paid from 50-cent fines.  By 1915, Rotary International was on the verge of bankruptcy and that's when President Frank Mulholland suggested that every Rotarian contribute $1 (just over $24 today), and thus the concept of annual dues was born.)

Paula also received "Happy Bucks" from Sam Shaheen, Michelle Charles, and Mark Rojek.
