At our weekly meeting held on September 19, 2014, President Tom presented the new sponsor pins to the following members for their sponsorship of a new member into the club.  These Rotarians were Dan Fuline, Bob Myers and Vice President Craig Young.  President Tom announced he had a t-shirt designed for members to purchase and wear to the McKinley/Massillon Rally on October 31st.  The shirts are $20.00 and orders will be accepted until October 3rd.  If you are interested in a shirt, please contact the Rotary office. President Tom also reminded the members we now have the ability to accept credit/debit card to pay for either your lunch or Rotary fees.

 

We are still looking for a host family for this year's Youth Exchange Student.  It is highly suggested that a Youth Exchange Student change host families at least twice within the year.  If you or someone you know would be interested in accepting this fine young man from Brazil into your home, please contact either Youth Exchange Chairwoman Amy Mustafaga or the Rotary office.

 

President Elect Paul White updated the membership on the Charitable Fund Drive.  To date, approximately $3,000.00 has been donated to this fund. If you have not contributed yet, please consider doing so.

 

Rotarian Drew Pelger gave a final announcement for the upcoming "Urban Kayaking".  Drew stated this should be a fun time for all and if you chose not to kayak you can still meet at Jerzee's Sport Grille for a night of fellowship.

 

Club Secretary Amanda Tietze welcomed the following guest to our meeting:  Jim Parker.  The "Happy Bucks" news was provided this week by the following Rotarians:  President Elect Craig Young said September is a great month for him! He celebrated his daughter's marriage, the grand opening of the Volvo store and his Birthday.  Amy Mustafaga was pleased to announce her son was accepted to study at a University in Wales for the semester.

 

The following Executive Board members received a makeup for attending the September 16th Executive Board meeting:  President Tom Clevenger, Vice President Craig Young and Treasurer Dave Schrade.  The following Rotarians received a makeup for attending the September, 2014, Board Meeting: President Tom Clevenger, President Elect Paul White, Vice President Craig Young, Treasurer Dave Schrade, Sgt.-at-Arms Robert Matthews, Asst. Parliamentarian Dave Ewing and PP Rick Sherer.  The following Trustees were present:  Becky Clark, Tim Furbay, Sharon Sirpilla, Jim Blake, Paul Feaser, Mark Rojek, Nick Perini, Suzette Matthews, Dean Wallace and Ryan Parkinson.
