WEEKLY MEETING NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS - FS

At our weekly Rotary meeting on October 10, 2014, President Tom Clevenger gave an update on the Charitable Fund Drive. To date $6,805.00 has been collected. He also updated the members on the Foundation Celebration. (see story below).

 

PP Ken Weber introduced our newest member, Marisa Rohn (see story below).

 

It was also relayed to members the time is drawing near for the Canton/Massillon rally meeting on October 31st.  If you are planning to attend or take guest(s) along with you, we MUST have your RSVP soon.  We would like to provide to Massillon an accurate count of Canton Rotarians attending so they will have adequate seating and food for everyone.

 

Club Secretary Amanda Tietze welcomed the following guests to our meeting: Deb Shamlin and Rick Stenften.  The "Happy Bucks" news was provided by this week by the following: Rick Taylor the Cleveland Browns are favored over the Pittsburgh Steelers and he expects them to win; Bob Matthews announced next weekend the MAPS Preservation Society will be hosting a reunion of WWII bomber Crews.  He stated this is something you do not want to miss.

 

Rotarians turning in make-up slips were:  Tom Sinclair (North Canton); Tena Wilson (East Canton); Bob Matthews (Perry); Virginia Neutzling (North Canton). Committee members attending the Endowment meeting on October 8th were:  Curt Werren, John Werren, Dave Roberts, Tom Clevenger and Mike Eberhart.
