At the weekly meeting on September 28, 2018, President Michelle Mullaly welcomed the 49 members and 1 guest to the meeting. President Michelle announced everyone would be receiving chocolate chip ice cream in honor of Dale Holwick who would have celebrated his 93rd birthday on September 24th.Rotarian Becky Clark gave the Invocation.
Congratulations to Rotarian Bruce Schorsten for having the winning 50/50 ticket! Bruce took home $40.00 from the drawing.
President Michelle then presented a $5,000 check from the Rotary Club of Canton's Endowment Fund to Tom Thompson, Executive Director for JRC Learning Center.
With this meeting being a fellowship meeting, President Michelle took the opportunity to have members spend some of the time as a "working" meeting. She asked each table to discuss and provide ideas on ways to bring in new members as well as how to better diversify the club as far as ethnicity and gender.
President Michelle took a moment to introduce and thank the individual who prepares our weekly meeting lunches, Ron Darrah. Ron works on a volunteer basis, as do the many other men and women from the church. Ron received a round of applause from the members to thank him for his hard work and the delicious meals he creates for us each and every week.
The meeting concluded with the President announcing next week's speaker as Mike Trabert, aka Mr. Ballpark, speaking on "Take Me out to the Ballpark". **This meeting will start PROMPTLY at noon due to a variety of items to be addressed prior to the speaker's presentation.
