MICHELLE MULLALY TO BE INSTALLED AS PRESIDENT OF THE ROTARY CLUB OF CANTON

Michelle has created innovative programming including collaborations with local artists such as The Speedbumps and Matt Corey and the Divergent Sound Series in collaboration with 91.3 The Summit and local artists. Her outside-of-the-box programming ideas have drawn new audiences to concerts and has helped the organization receive regional and national attention.

JOIN THE $1000 CHALLENGE MATCH
Those of you who attended our last meeting heard Johnny Street tell the compelling story of Rotaplast, an organization that brings the transformative power of plastic surgery to children and adults with serious facial deformities, like cleft palate. The medical teams that perform these surgeries are able to change the lives of people dealing with these difficult afflictions, changing their appearance...and their lives...forever.

Johnny's presentation had quite an impact on several of our members!

When the meeting ended, two of our club members immediately made donations to Rotaplast. Minutes later, an anonymous Rotarian stepped forward to offer a challenge match up to $1000 for donations from Canton members.

We're now asking Canton Rotarians to make donations, however large or small, to help this organization achieve its mission. Whatever you donate will be eligible for the $1000 challenge match. You may send your checks payable to Rotaplast ----------- to Lauri at the Rotary office or give them to Bill Maddox, who is coordinating the Rotaplast Challenge Match gift program. That way your gifts will be tracked for the match. Gifts can be made publicly or anonymously.

We thank you in advance for your support of this worthwhile program to improve lives!

The office received a "Thank You" note from Rotarian Steve Fettman. Steve writes:

"Dear Rotary Board and Members ~ Thank you for honoring me with the "Rotarian of the Year" distinction at Friday's meeting. I consider it as one of the most important recognitions I have received. I share it with my dad because he introduced me to Rotary and I know how important Rotary was to him.

I thank everyone for the kind words before and after the meeting as well as during Happy Bucks!

A special thank you to Frank Fleischer for providing Taggarts Ice Cream in honor of the recognition. I also thank Dave Roberts and Mark Rojek for their kind introduction. Sincerely - Steve"
